About Our School

Westhoff Elementary School, located in the northern section of Walnut, is one of fifteen schools in the Walnut Valley Unified School District. Our school is named after Leonard G. Westhoff, who was one of the first mayors of Walnut. The original school, built in 1989, consisted of 12 portables and housed 180 students. In the spring of 2004, we completed construction of our permanent facilities. Our new school consists of three 2-story buildings and a large multipurpose room. Features of our new school include a large library-media center, 40 station computer lab, Internet access in all classrooms, covered lunch area, separate kindergarten playground, and new playground equipment.
